1.
Harbor 08:43
A young man leaves in search of his grandfather, a pilot who disappeared while flying over an island. While the young man's family believes his grandfather is dead, he is going to prove his grandfather is still alive and is waiting for help. At the harbor, he boards a ship and travels to the island.
2.
The young man is terrified of the trial that awaits him, but will not give in to the idea that his grandfather might possibly be dead. He presses on, into the forest. To the danger that waits ahead of him, he says aloud, "You can make your threats and laugh at me, but I am not afraid of you."
3.
After a full day of wandering through the forest and around the island, the young man becomes angry with his grandfather for being so stupid as to fly alone over an island so far away and disappear. He is angry at himself for going out of his way to help his grandfather. Realizing these thoughts will only hinder him, in violent frustration, he tries to pull the evil from his skin.
4.
Wanderlust 07:36
Running low on supplies, the young man begins to beg his deity to help him search for his grandfather, or to send him a sign to tell him whether or not his grandfather is even alive. The only reply he receives is silence. He gathers his wits and continues on with his strength and will-power dwindling.
5.
Having run out of supplies, and surviving on rainwater and flora, eventually the young man tires, and gives up all hope. In tears, exhausted and weak, he collapses and passes out. Near death, he awakens to a group of specters, four of them, who guide him across the island to the place where his grandfather's plane crashed.
6.
The young man finds the body of his grandfather, wraps it in a blanket, and carries the body back to the dock on the island, where he signals the boat with a flare to come and get him. The young man brings his grandfather across the ocean, as was promised.
7.
The young man returns by plane to his home with his grandfather's coffin. His grandfather is buried and the young man is able to move on with his life.

about

A concept album about the Five Stages of Grief.

Descriptions for each song are in the "lyrics" section.

Tracks 2 through 6 are the Five Stages of Grief. Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance.

Track 7 was written for the passing of my grandfather. Which, ultimately, inspired this entire album.

Recorded in my living room/garage.
Mixed in my living room.
Mastered in... oh shit, I forgot to master it.

Thank you to Orion. Not just because you're a dog, but because you are a dog who sat in the living room while I recorded and never once complained. You're the fucking man, dog.

about

Pangaea Willmar, Minnesota

Hi, my name is Anton.

This is my music project Pangaea.

I've been working on it since 2006, when I was 16.

I write all the songs, I play all the instruments, and I do all the recording/editing.

If you have the time, I'd appreciate you giving it a listen.

Thank you.
